Bulldogs dismiss Gators’ trash talk

- Edgar Thompson

GAINESVILLE — The unbeaten Georgia Bulldogs are not taking the bait from the Florida Gators. Georgia’s players expected it. “That’s Florida,” Bulldogs’ defensive back said. UF players said Monday they were unimpressed with Georgia quarterback the SEC’s leading passer, and predicted a fourth straight win when two rivals going in opposite directions meet Saturday in Jacksonville. “Georgia isn’t a team we lose to,” UF receiver

said. Only this time the Bulldogs are 14.5-point favorites and appear capable of challenging top-ranked Alabama for the SEC title.

The Gators, meanwhile, have lost back-to-back games and are ranked 12th in the 14-team SEC in scoring.

Georgia players still did not kick their rival while they’re down.

“We just try to keep preparing the way we’ve been preparing, and let our football and let our helmets do the talking,” Georgia linebacker said.

UF safety said Fromm manages the game while his run game and defense shoulder the load.

“We’re going to see what his best attributes are,” Gardner said.

Georgia coach considerable.

“Your offense is limited by the person on the offense that can handle the least — that’s not Jake Fromm,” Smart said.
