Cool freebies and deals for your Halloween

I’ve dug deep into the crypt to find ghoulishly good Halloween freebies and deals to be had around South Florida through Tuesday and beyond.

Frost Museum of Science discount

Broward County residents can get a 15 percent discount to the Frost Museum of Science through Nov. 30.

Purchase a Total Experience Ticket, which, with the discount, will cost $24.65 for adults (normally $29) and $17 for children 3 to 11 (normally $20) using promo code BROWARD at FrostScience.org/tickets.

Adult ticket holders must show proof of residency with a Florida Driver’s License or Florida state-issued ID card showing a Broward County address.

The state-of-the-art $325 million facility opened in downtown Miami on May 8 and houses a three-story, 500,000-gallon aquarium with a 31-foot-wide viewing oculus, a planetarium and other hightech gallery spaces.

New interactive exhibits include “Monster Fish: In Search of the Last River Giants” and “Brain: The Inside Story,” on view through spring.

Free photos, trick-or-treating

Reel in some fun for kids at Bass Pro Shops.

Children get free 4-by-6 photos in the Peanuts Halloween pumpkin patch, can win prizes and create cute decorations and crafts from noon to 5 p.m. today, 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and 4 to 8 p.m. on Halloween. Kids can march in the costume parade at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

In addition to the photo freebie, stores are offering a $5 photo package that includes one 6-by-8 and two 4-by-6 photos with a digital download.

Free pancakes at IHOP

Kids can get a free Scary Face Pancake at IHOP on Halloween.

From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., kids ages 12 and younger get the free eats when dining in at participating restaurants. No coupon or purchase is necessary. The offer is one per child.
