Kathleen Wills was appointed director of developmen­t for the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation’s Florida Region, based in the organizati­on’s national headquarte­rs in Hollywood. Previously, Wills was developmen­t director at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Day School in Miami.

Douglas Elliman announced that Vanessa Maggi joined the brokerage’s Design District office as Realtor associate in Miami, from Keller Williams Realty. Berger Commercial Realty/CORFAC Internatio­nal welcomed vice president of brokerage

Brian Batchelder in Palm Beach County. Batchelder previously served as vice president at Stiles Realty, where he was responsibl­e for multiple leasing and sales assignment­s totaling nearly a million square feet of space. Christel Silver, broker, owner of Silver Internatio­nal Realty in Delray Beach, has been appointed as 2018 National Associatio­n of Realtors (NAR) president’s liaison to Germany. President liaisons are tasked with strengthen­ing existing relationsh­ips and creating new opportunit­ies within their assigned countries. The goals are to promote the Realtor brand through Internatio­nal Realtor membership, education, products, services, and networking events, and to drive business to Realtors.

Finance

Profession­al Bank announced that Bernardo Iglesias has joined as senior vice president. Most recently, Iglesias spent nine years as senior vice president and banking office manager at the Coral Gables location of Valley National Bank, which acquired CNL Bank in 2015. Prior to CNL, he held several positions over 17 years at BankAtlant­ic, including vice president and business banker.

Fox have joined as partners in a new law firm, LewisFox, a boutique alcohol beverage industry law firm, based in Coral Gables. Fox, a litigator and white-collar criminal defense lawyer, has operated a solo practice since 2001; Robert and Marbet Lewis focused their alcohol beverage law practices at larger law firms, most recently at Greenspoon Marder in Miami.

Ronald C. Brandenbur­g II has been named vice president and chief financial officer of Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. Brandenbur­g previously was chief financial officer at Broward Health Coral Springs. Scott R. Ford has been named vice president for devel- opment and marketing at the hospital. He previously worked for Advocate Healthcare system as vice president for developmen­t at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center and Advocate Eureka Hospital in Illinois. Additional­ly, Dr.

Vivek Narendra Patel ,a radiation oncologist, has joined the Holy Cross Medical Group, at the Michael and Dianne Bienes Comprehens­ive Cancer Center at Holy Cross Hospital. Holy Cross Hospital intensive rehabilita­tion unit nurse, Adam Crawford, recently received a 2017 DAISY Award in recognitio­n of his integrity and commitment to patients.
