Seminoles, Gators to play at noon

TALLAHASSEE – Florida State and Florida, both in the midst of their worst seasons in recent memory, will get an early kickoff for their annual college football rivalry game this season.

The Gators will host the Seminoles at noon on Nov. 25 and the game will be broadcast on ESPN.

Florida State will look to extend its four-game win streak over Florida and aim to win its seventh of the past eight contests in the series. For FSU (3-6, 3-5 ACC), the contest gives

team a chance to contend for bowl eligibility with a victory.

The Seminoles will host Delaware State on Saturday at noon and will finish their season at home against Louisiana Monroe on Dec. 2. If FSU wins all three of its remaining games, it will extend the nation’s longest bowl streak to 36 years.

UF (3-6, 3-5 SEC) could spoil FSU’s push to continue its bowl streak. The Gators will host UAB on Saturday at 4 p.m., hoping to snap a five-game losing skid this season. Florida has lost two straight games since interim coach

FSU is experiencing its worst season since legendary coach first season in 1976, when the Seminoles finished 5-6.
