Stanton update, sort of

Tuesday, day two of three of the General Managers Meetings, was full of

rumors, though none brought clarity regarding where the Marlins might trade him.

One report said Stanton is believed not to be willing to waive his no-trade clause to go to St. Louis or Boston, but another said Stanton is keeping an open mind and hasn’t ruled out any city or team.

ESPN, citing rival executives, reported that the Marlins’ asking price for Stanton is “shockingly high and somewhat out of touch with reality.”

Hill said he intended to speak with all 29 other baseball operations bosses before leaving Orlando midday Wednesday, though not necessarily about Stanton.
