Ready for holiday fun? The weekend is full of it, with South Florida Parenting’s Holiday Fest and the opening of the Holiday Fantasy of Lights in Coconut Creek, Plantation’s “It’s a Wonderful Life” Parade, the opening of the ice skating rink at Hoffman’s Chocolates in Greenacres and the “Miracle on 136th Street” parade at The Falls in South Miami.

Miami Book Fair, through Sunday. See some of the hottest authors for kids and young adults, including Gene Yang, Mercedes Lackey, Kwame Alexander and Mariko Tamaki.
