Dapper ‘Business Bandit’ has robbed three banks
His attire is impeccable, from his jaunty cap to his crisp shirt and tie. The clear plastic gloves keep the gun he carries fingerprint free.
A man the FBI has dubbed the “Business Bandit” should be considered armed and dangerous, agents announced Monday.
So called because of the attire he wears, the Business Bandit has struck at least three times this month in Palm Beach County, Special Agent Michael Leverock said.
Two of robberies happened outside of Boca Raton and another happened in Palm Beach Gardens, Leverock said.
The gentlemanly thief first held up a Sun Trust Bank at 7800 Glades Road in West Boca on Nov. 7.
Aside from his mustache, goatee and eyeglasses, he wore a white button-up shirt, dark tie and slacks. His apparel was topped off by a newsboy cap.
Three days later on Nov. 10 the Business Bandit hit a PNC Bank at 10973 N. Military Trail in Palm Beach Gardens donning the
same dapper duds.
A week after that on Nov. 17, he added a dark suit coat and a handgun to his garb when he robbed a Wells Fargo Bank at 9162 Glades Road near Boca Raton.
Investigators urge anyone with information about the Business Bandit’s identity to contact the FBI at 754-703-2000. Anonymous tips can be made to Palm Beach Crimestoppers at 800-458-8477.
