Rui Hachimura came off the bench to score a careerhigh 20 points, Josh Perkins added 15 points and No. 17 Gonzaga blew a 21-point second-half lead before putting away Texas 76-71 in overtime in a consolatio­n game Sunday at the PK80 Invitation­al in Portland, Ore.

The Bulldogs (5-1) committed 14 turnovers in the second half. The last of those was picked off by Dylan Osetkowski and led to Andrew Jones’ 3-pointer, which sent the game to overtime at 67-67.

Matt Coleman led the Longhorns (4-2) with 19 points, and Jones had 18.

Gonzaga needed every bit of a 24-0 first-half run due to a sloppy stretch of the second half when the Bulldogs went nearly seven minutes without a basket. Knox paces Kentucky: Kevin Knox scored a careerhigh 25 points to lead No. 8 Kentucky to a 107-73 victory over Illinois-Chicago, making John Calipari the 39th coach with 700 victories.

Knox led seven players in double figures for Kentucky (6-1). Hamidou Diallo scored a career-best 19 points, PJ Washington added 17 and Shai GilgeousAl­exander had 14. St. Mary’s falls in OT:

Reserve Tyree Crump scored five of his 17 points in overtime and Georgia beat No. 21 St. Mary’s 83-81 at the Wooden Legacy tournament in Fullerton, Calif.

Yante Maten scored 16 points, William Jackson 15, Juwan Parker 14 and Derek Ogbeide 10 for the Bulldogs (5-1).

Jock Landale led the Gaels (4-2) with 33 points and 12 rebounds. Bruins cruise:

Prince Ali scored a career-high 21 points and No. 23 UCLA (5-1) beat UC Irvine 87-63 in Los Angeles.

Thomas Welsh had his fourth double-double of the season with 13 points and 13 rebounds for UCLA. Layups:
