Boaters rescued

- — Staff report

Five boaters were rescued three miles off the Lake Worth Inlet after their boat capsized, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

The 26-foot pleasure boat’s trouble was reported about 3 p.m. Sunday.

Rescue crews arrived about 3:30 p.m. and pulled the five boaters out of the water.

The Coast Guard crew took the boaters to Lake Park Marina, where emergency medical services were waiting.

Last week, five men were rescued near the Boynton Inlet by a nearby catamaran and all were unhurt.
