The Pelicans won the first meeting 109-94 Dec. 23 at AmericanAi­rlines Arena, sparked by 19 points off the bench from former Heat prospect Ian Clark. The Heat were without Hassan Whiteside, Justise Winslow and Dion Waiters in that loss . . . The Heat had won three of four from the Pelicans before that loss . . . The Heat have lost three of their past four visits to New Orleans, including a 91-87 loss last season . . . The game ends an eight-day All-Star break for the Heat, who have lost seven of their last eight overall, as well as five in a row on the road . . . The Heat’s last road victory was Jan. 29 in Dallas . . . The Pelicans also are coming off an eight-day All-Star break, entering on a three-game winning streak . . .
