Trump, Daniels hit road for gigs in Palm Beach County

- By Skyler Swisher Staff writer

Adult entertainment star Stormy Daniels and President Donald Trump both have business to take care of in Palm Beach County.

Daniels, who is playing center stage in a presidential scandal, was set to perform tonight at Ultra Gentlemen’s Club — just across the street from the Trump International Golf Club and down the road from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate and private club in Palm Beach.

A few days later, Trump is expected to meet with

Japanese leader Shinzo Abe on Tuesday and Wednesday at Mar-a-Lago to discuss the crisis in North Korea. Flight restrictions associated with presidential visits indicate Trump could be in South Florida from Monday to Thursday. Initially, Trump was expected to have been in Palm Beach from Sunday to April 22.

Ultra Gentleman’s Club is expecting record crowds for Daniels’ appearance as part of her “Make America Horny Again” tour. Daniels, who says she had an affair with Trump in 2006, was to do four performances at the club Friday and tonight, with tickets starting at $25 and going up to $1,000 for VIP party packages.

Last month, Daniels performed at Solid Gold in Pompano Beach.

Daniels — whose real name is Stephanie Clifford — accused the president in a “60 Minutes” interview of paying her $130,000 through his attorney Michael Cohen to stay quiet about the affair during the 2016 election.

Extra security will be on hand for the event, club manager Stacy Saccal said. Daniels last performed at the club in 2006. Saccal said she doesn’t think Daniels wants to be in the limelight over her alleged affair with Trump.

“At the end of the day, that’s all it is. It’s just business,” Saccal said. “It’s just unfortunate that it turned into this for either side.”

Trump has been embroiled in the fallout from Daniels’ interview. The FBI raided the home and office of Cohen, Trump’s longtime personal attorney.

Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti says his client is cooperating with the FBI.

Earlier this week, Trump canceled a trip to the Summit of the Americas in Peru and Colombia, saying he wanted to stay in Washington to monitor the conflict in Syria, He dispatched Vice President Mike Pence to attend in his absence.

Trump is set to preside over a roundtable discussion Monday in Miami promoting his tax cut legislation.

The Federal Aviation Administration has also issued a “VIP” advisory for Key West for Thursday, but it’s not clear whether that involves a presidential visit. Typically, the FAA issues such notices for travel by the president and vice president.

More than 100 rallies, including one today in West Palm Beach near Mar-a-Lago. are planned across the country this weekend to protest Trump’s tax cuts.
