The customer communicat­ions management technology, document delivery, and electronic bill presentmen­t and payment solutions company, Nordis Technologi­es, has named Paul Sykes as chief operating officer and chief financial officer, in Coral Springs. For 20 years, Sykes worked at DMG Informatio­n, the U.S.-based private equity unit of London’s Daily Mail and General Trust plc., where he was most recently chief financial officer.

Michael Mendillo has been appointed to the newly created position of managing director of Slow Burn Theatre. Mendillo joins the 9-year-old nonprofit from the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida, where he was director of developmen­t.

Legacy Bank of Florida announced that Vice President and Office Executive Marcy Kabolowsky will expand her role in Broward County to include the management of dayto-day operations at both of the bank’s Broward banking centers. Hunton & Williams LLP announces the addition of Cary D. Steklof to its insurance coverage practice, as an associate in Miami. Avison Young’s Mark M. Rubin has been promoted to principal, capital markets group. Beau Marburger has joined First Bank of the Palm Beaches as a commercial loan officer in West Palm Beach. Veteran businessma­n and now Brightway Agency Owner, Ryan Loucks, has opened Brightway, The Ryan Loucks Agency, a property/casualty agency, in Boca Raton. Loucks comes to Brightway from City Furniture, where he held management positions, including general manager of the Ashley HomeStore in Boca Raton. Four banking profession­als have joined Marlifesty­le quis Bank to lead the bank’s expansion into Broward County with a loan production office and a new branch in Fort Lauderdale.The new team will be headed by Steven Sanzone, who joins Marquis as market president after spending the last 14 years as executive vice president and senior loan officer at Stonegate Bank. Senior Vice President and Commercial Lending Officer Mark Huard will be responsibl­e for developing business and commercial real estate relationsh­ips in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Huard has held similar positions at Stonegate Bank, Community Bank of Broward and Union Planters Bank. Also joining the Fort Lauderdale team are Banking Center Manager Jerry Grace and Commercial Loan Assistant Hazel Acea.

The Conroy Martinez Group has promoted Hanna Thornton to account supervisor, from senior account executive, in Coral Gables. Stephanie Munarriz was appointed senior account executive at TURNER, an agency that focuses on travel, the tourism and industry. Lonny Greenberg, a senior adviser at Singer Xenos Schechter Sosler Wealth Management in Miami, was named the next president of AMIKids Greater Fort Lauderdale. Having served on the Board of Trustees since 2016, Lonny began serving his two-year term as president in March. Cancer Alliance of Help & Hope announced that Adriana M. Luchechko has joined its board of directors, in Palm Beach. Luchechko founded and is president of the firm, The Quality Control Center, performing oversight of banking and mortgage lending institutio­ns for regulatory compliance. Kaufman Rossin announced the election of entreprene­urial services senior manager Meredith Tucker ,to the Hospice of Broward County Foundation’s inaugural board of directors.

Foley & Lardner announced that Leslie Smith has been appointed managing partner of the firm’s Miami office. Broad and Cassel LLP announced the addition of Associate Trenton Parks to the firm’s Corporate and Finance Practice Group, in Boca Raton. Previously, Parks was a corporate and real estate attorney at Greenspoon Marder LLP in Fort Lauderdale.

Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center appointed

Price, former chief of staff at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, as new Governing Board members. Broward Health has named

Thomas Kester, chief nursing officer of Broward Health Medical Center. Previously, Kester worked at Broward Health Imperial Point as CNO/COO. He was also the hospital’s regional director of surgical services. Prior to that, he was manager of surgical services at Holy Cross Hospital for four years. Lee Mandel, director of the South Florida Sinus & Allergy Center, and director of the South Florida Snoring and Sleep Center; and immediate-past president of the Florida Society of Otolaryngo­logy-Head and Neck Surgery, was recently named a Fellow of the American Rhinologic Society.

Danielle McLeod, has been promoted to office manager at Behavioral Health Institute, a private group Psychology Practice in Coral Springs, where she has worked for the past 13 years.
