Ginobili, Spurs thwart Warriors’ bid for sweep

Manu Ginobili scored 10 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter and the Spurs beat the visiting Warriors 103-90 on Sunday to avoid a series sweep as coach Gregg Popovich remained out after the death of his wife.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Spurs. But they were willed to the finish by Ginobili, 40, who has said he will decide in the offseason whether to return for a 17th season.

Kevin Durant had 34 points and 13 rebounds for the Warriors. But only Klay Thompson (12) and Shaun Livingston (10) joined Durant in double figures.

Rudy Gay scored 14 points for the Spurs, Dejounte Murray had 12 and Kyle Anderson added 10.

The Spurs shot 53 percent on 3-pointers (15 of 28) after hitting just 26 percent over the first three games. The Warriors went 7-for-28.

Popovich missed his second straight game after the death of his wife, Erin.

Bucks 104, Celtics 102:

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 27 points, including tipping in the go-ahead basket with 5 seconds left, as the host Bucks tied the series 2-2.

The Celtics’ Marcus Morris missed a 14-footer at the buzzer with Khris Middleton’s hand in his face to seal the Bucks’ tense victory.

Jaylen Brown scored 34 points for the Celtics, while Jayson Tatum added 21.

Wizards 106, Raptors 98:

John Wall had 27 points and 14 assists as the eighthseeded Wizards won their eighth consecutive home playoff game and tied the series 2-2.

Bradley Beal led the Wizards with 31 points but fouled out with 4:58 left and the score tied 92-92.

DeMar DeRozan started 0-for-6 before winding up with 35 points for the Raptors, who led 51-40 at halftime. Kyle Lowry scored 19.
