Festivals, stage shows mark Mother’s Day weekend

It’s Mother’s Day weekend, and plenty of fun for moms and their families are planned in South Florida, including a Pirate Festival on the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale and a Caribbean Festival in Delray Beach. Many Mother’s Day craft events and brunches are also planned for the weekend. Our list of the top events for the weekend includes the following:

Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Kids, 2 p.m. today.
