Rapper brings faith-based hip-hop show to Fillmore.
Unlikely hip-hop star NF has announced his first North American headlining tour, including an Oct. 23 concert at the Fillmore Miami Beach.
Tickets for the show cost $39.50-$49.50. They went on sale Friday at LiveNation.com, all Ticketmaster outlets including Ticketmaster.com and 800-745-3000, as well as the Fillmore box office, 1700 Washington Ave. Fan-club and Spotify presales began June 20.
The tour supports NF’s platinum-selling “Perception,” which hit No. 1 on the Billboard albums chart last fall and includes the hit single “Let You Down” and the just-released “Why.”
NF (born Nathan Feuerstein) is a Michigan-raised acolyte of Eminem who has gained a wide following with heart-on-his-sleeve lyrics free of profanity and misogyny, and sprinkled with references to his faith, which encouraged him to be labeled a Christian rapper early on.
“I don't live for the world. I live for the King,” NF announced on “All I Have,” a cut from his 2015 debut album, “Mansion.”
But in an interview with Idolator, NF says his music is not defined by his relationship with God: “I’m a Christian, but I’m just an artist. I’m a musician. You know what I mean? To me, it’s like if you’re a Christian and you’re a plumber, are you a Christian plumber?”
NF is currently an opening act, with rapper-singer Kyle, on Logic’s Bobby Tarantino vs. Everybody tour.
