- By Marc Freeman Staff writer

A trial was delayed Monday in the case of two people killed in a Palm Beach County crash involving a Porsche allegedly exceeding 100 mph six months ago.

A lawyer for Jaherald Saint Dic, driver of the sports car, told Circuit Judge Jeffrey Colbath that the defense waived its right to a speedy trial. A new trial date could be set during a Sept. 21 hearing.

The 25-year-old Greenacres man remains in Palm Beach County Jail, unable to post a $1.3 million bond. He’s charged with 10 felonies from the violent crash at 3:30 a.m. Dec. 23.

According to investigators with the sheriff’s office, Saint Dic’s silver 2013 Porsche Panamera was speeding north on Swain Boulevard and ran a stop sign before crashing into a 2007 Honda CRV headed east on Second Street, in a Greenacres neighborhood.

Two rear-seat passengers in the Honda — Juan Hernandez, 29, and Angel Xon, 47, both of West Palm Beach — were thrown from the car and killed, the sheriff’s office said. Two other passengers in the Honda were seriously injured.

Investigators said they recovered a video of the crash from a nearby convenience

store’s security camera.

After the crash, Saint Dic and his three passengers ran, according to his arrest report. But deputies soon located the passengers, all women, and later tracked down Saint Dic.

He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of vehicular homicide, two counts of reckless driving causing serious bodily injury, one count of leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury, one count of leaving the scene of a crash involving death and four counts of driving without a license causing serious bodily injury or death.

According to the arrest report, Saint Dic’s driver’s license had been revoked after a previous arrest on charges of fleeing and eluding a police officer.
