The tastiest week of summer — when you can get a bunch of food freebies — is upon us.

On Tuesday rustle up cow costumes and drive your herd into Chickfil-A for free eats.

The 14th annual Cow Appreciation Day rewards cowclad customers with free meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner until 7 p.m. at participating locations.

I’ll make it super easy for you to get the free food: Go to SunSentinel.com/CowCostume to print out ears, noses, tails, spots, hats, glasses, mustaches and more.

Last year, more than 1.8 million people hoofed it into restaurants dressed as cows and gorged on free chicken sandwiches and other menu items.

Go to CowAppreciationDay.com for more info.

After snacking on free chicken, hit up 7-Eleven and chill out with a free Slurpee on Wednesday. Stop in at participating stores from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and get the free treat to celebrate the chain’s birthday.

No coupon or purchase is necessary.

New on tap: Cap’n Crunch’s Crunch Berries flavored Slurpee, available for a limited time. (I’m a purist, preferring a Coke-flavored frosty beverage.)

The chain keeps the party going Thursday through July 18 by giving 7Rewards members freebies with purchase. Highlights include a free Big Gulp, popcorn, Reese’s candy, chips and more.

Also, reward members can enjoy happy hour and save 50 percent on Slurpees and Big Gulps from 4 to 8 p.m. daily through July 31.

Go to 7-eleven.com/7rewards to download the free app and scan it at the register to get the goods.

Early Prime Day deals

Amazon Prime Day kicks off at 3 p.m. on July 16 and will run for 36 hours. With more than 1 million deals, this will be Amazon’s biggest sale ever, the company announced in a news release.

New this year, shoppers can bag offers at Whole Foods Market by downloading the free app and scan the Prime Code to save in stores. Prime Rewards Visa cardmembers also will get 10 percent back on purchases at the grocery store of up to $400 on Saturday

through July 17. Go to WholeFoodsMarket.com for more info.

Starting Monday, get the lowest prices ever on Amazon private label goods. Expect to save up to 40 percent on Amazon Essentials, Goodthreads and Core10 brands, among others.

To announce the news, Amazon kicked off several deals running through July 15.

Highlights include $100 off Echo Show, a new video assistant, as well as up to 50 percent on popular movies and TV shows on Prime digital, DVD and Blu-Ray.

Music lovers can get four months of Amazon Music Unlimited for 99 cents, and gamers get a free PC game every day through July 18 on titles such as “Pillars of Eternity” and “Brutal Legend.”

Here’s a nice offer to help avid readers get through the summer: Snag three months of Kindle Unlimited for 99 cents and get a free $10 Prime Day credit with purchase of your first Kindle book. Also, save 65 percent on three months of Audible for $4.95 per month.

I’ve got more tips on how to shop on Prime Day and ways to score free credits at SunSentinel.com/PrimeDay.
