To be eligible to apply for the 2018 Florida Companies to Watch award, a company had to meet the following criteria: be privately held and headquartered in Florida; employ six to 150 fulltime workers; have $750,000 to $100,000 in annual revenue or working capital from investors or grants; and demonstrate a capacity to grow based on sales, employees, strong leadership, and their competitive advantage, or how they offer greater value than the competition.

Winners will be chosen by a select panel of economic development, education and entrepreneurial leaders in Florida and be announced at a GrowFL event scheduled for Feb. 9, 2019, in Tampa.

Companies to Watch was developed by the Edward Lowe Foundation to recognize “second-stage” companies that demonstrate high performance in the marketplace with innovative strategies and processes, making them “worth watching.”

GrowFL was created in 2009 as an economic development program to help companies overcome obstacles to growth.
