BOCA RATON — El-Ad National Properties, the real estate firm that’s remaking the Mizner on the Green townhome community into a luxury condo project, has relocated its Florida headquarters from Plantation to downtown Boca Raton to be closer to its signature development.

“We have long had a real estate presence in Boca Raton and are now pleased to officially call Boca Raton and Palm Beach County home,” said Noam Ziv, El-Ad’s executive director of development. “With the substantial investment we have been making in the city since 2005, it made perfect sense for us to relocate our headquarters down the street from our newest luxury residential project and bring our team here.”

The company employs 12 people at its new headquarters, at 150 E. Palmetto Park Road, and could end up employing as many as 200 contractors as the construction project gains traction, Ziv said.

El-Ad is spending $500 million on the massive project, which has received city approval. One building of the old townhome project has been demolished to make way for a sales center. The large-scale demolition has yet to take place.

The plan calls for three, ninestory buildings with up to 384 condominium units. The site covers nine acres along Southeast Mizner Boulevard, near Royal Palm Place plaza and the Boca Raton Resort. Ziv said the company elected to convert the property from rentals to condos “because this is a very unique opportunity.” Residents are within walking distance of downtown shops, he said, and much of the land is adjacent to the resort’s golf course.

Despite previous brandings of Mizner 200 and The Monarch Boca Raton, the company now refers to the project as Mizner on the Green, as it’s a name more widely known around the city and Palm Beach County. A new community name will be launched in September.

The company will open another sales center on the property in the fall, Ziv said. He said no prices have been announced.

El-Ad owns five rental communities in Boca Raton: Camino Real, Tuscany Pointe, Somerset Place, Savannah Place and Mizner on the Green.
