Developer Brian Tuttle has big plans for one of Broward County’s most coveted areas.

The head of Tuttle Land Development is proposing two new projects in and around Parkland that would add single-family homes for seniors, as well as condos for families, including some set aside with lower pricetags for “workforce housing.”

Tuttle said those condos, likely to attract families, would make it possible for “everyday people to get [their children] into the Parkland schools.”

His plan is to build 125 condos on a 5-acre site in unincorporated Broward, bordering Parkland. That site will also have a 350-foot-tall 911 emergency tower, he said.

Most units would be priced from $349,000 to nearly a half-million. Some units in the six- to eightstory building would be reserved for “workforce housing” for average-income families to afford the homes, although he couldn’t give a price yet for these condos.

Tuttle said he expects to meet with Broward County attorneys and staff today to finalize details.

The remaining 65 acres of Tuttle’s land is within Parkland borders. There, he would build 195 single-family homes for active seniors. Homes would range from $550,000 to $800,000.

Tuttle is known for paving the way for Four Seasons at Parkland, an “active adult” community of 538 single-family homes that was opened in 2016 by K. Hovnanian Homes. The project was originally known as Parkland Royale.

Plans will be submitted to Parkland City Hall within 60 days for the adult community, he said.
