Derohn King turned in a royal performanc­e as the Deerfield Beach High School junior quarterbac­k tossed touchdown passes on the first three series of the game as the state's top-ranked Class 8A Bucks went on to rout visiting Blanche Ely, 46-0. He finished 9 of 15 for 210 yards and the three scores to highlight the Week 4 top performers for Broward and Palm Beach counties.

The senior running back carried 18 times for 125 yards and a touchdown as the Colonels topped defending District 12-8A champ Miramar 22-14 at home.

BRANDON HUDGINS | PALM BEACH CENTRAL

The senior defensive lineman led a solid defensive effort with eight tackles, including three for losses and three sacks, as the Broncos throttled visiting Wellington, 52-10.

The senior free safety had a team-leading 13 tackles in a 10-8 District 15-7A win victory over host Nova on Friday night.

The junior receiver the led Broncos with five catches for 181 yards and two TDs in a 52-10 victory over crosstown rival Wellington.

CEDQUAN SMITH | MIRAMAR

The freshman quarterbac­k completed 18 of 32 passes for 252 yards and a touchdown in a 22-14 loss to Plantation.

MARK-ANTONY RICHARDS | WELLINGTON

The senior running back was one of the lone bright spots in the Wolverines’ loss at Palm Beach Central. He scored on an electrifyi­ng 65-yard run to give Wellington a short-lived 10-7 lead before the Broncos rolled. He finished with 83 yards rushing and 23 receiving and one score.

The junior quarterbac­k connected on 10 of 21 passes for 202 yards and 4 TDs and added 4 rushes for 38 yards and one score as the Bengals defeated Douglas, 42-6.
