involved in the Women for Trump group in South Florida say they’re standing by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

They’re suspicious of information alleging a drunken sexual attack by Kavanaugh when he was a teenager that has surfaced late in the confirmation process.

Kavanaugh, who has denied the allegation, and Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who said he assaulted her when the two were in high school, could testify next week before the Senate Judiciary Comcious mittee.

Diane Kushner, of Boynton Beach, said she doesn’t need to know more.

“We feel that is not necessary. This woman had plenty of time to say what she had to say,” she said. “We’re in full support of Kavanaugh. We want him confirmed now.”

Kushner is part of Women for Trump, a loose-knit group that formed during the presidential campaign with members from Broward and Palm Beach counties. They wear bright pink T-shirts proclaiming their support for Trump.

On Monday night, Kushner and Linda Polsney, of Pompano Beach, were strategically placed at the Trump Club 45 meeting in West Palm Beach where hundreds of attendees would have to pass by. They were outspoken on behalf of Kavanaugh.

Polsney said she’s suspiWomen that the alleged assault from decades ago “just came up” days before the now-postponed Judiciary Committee vote on Kavanaugh.

“It’s very, how should I say, cloudy,” she said. “He is conservative and she is very liberal, so it’s very suspicious.”

Lisa Austin, of Pembroke Pines, paused at the Women for Trump table.

She thinks Democrats are trying to do anything they can to block Kavanaugh.

“They lost the election,” she said. “I think it’s an 11th hour stunt.”

Later, when keynote speaker Roger Stone predicted Kavanaugh would be confirmed, the crowd burst into applause, with many people cheering.
