Report: Accuser was target of Miami man’s restraining order

- By Doug Phillips

The latest woman to accuse Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of inappropriate sexual behavior had a restraining order filed against her by an exboyfriend who accused her of making threats, Politico is reporting.

Miami-Dade court filings show that in 2001, Julie Swetnick was targeted by an injunction petition filed by former boyfriend Richard Vinneccy, of Miami, who told the journalism organization that he and Swetnick dated for about four years before breaking up.

Vinneccy told Politico that Swetnick kept harassing him — even after he eventually got married and had a child.

“She was threatening my family, threatening my wife and threatening to do harm to my baby at that time,” he told Politico.

Swetnick has not accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her but claims he was at house parties where she and other women were sexually assaulted.

Swetnick is “not credible at all,” Vinneccy told Politico.

Her attorney, Michael Avenatti, called Vinneccy’s allegations “complete nonsense” and said Swetnick caught him using her resume to apply for jobs.

Credibility will be at the center of hearings scheduled for today at which Kavanaugh will testify as will Christine Blasey Ford who has accused him of sexual misconduct while both were in high school.
