WEEK 6 TOP PERFORMERS

Junior RB Jaylan Knighton had the best performance by a Deerfield Beach running back in school history. The four-star Oklahoma commit gashed Taravella for a school-record 347 rushing yards and scored three times Thursday, highlighting the top performers from Broward and Palm Beach counties.

MARK-ANTONY RICHARDS | WELLINGTON

Richards, a four-star athlete, rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns, including the game winner as time expired. He also caught four passes for 43 yards and another touchdown as the host Wolverines stunned Seminole Ridge 22-21.

NIK SCALZO | CARDINAL GIBBONS

Scalzo, a senior Kentucky commit, set a Cardinal Gibbons record with six passing touchdowns against Coconut Creek. Scalzo finished the game 13-of-20 for 205 passing yards.

COREY POLK | SEMINOLE RIDGE

The junior running back rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns (50 yards and 9 yards) on 15 carries in the Hawks’ loss against Wellington.

MARCUS LAFRANCE | DEERFIELD BEACH

Lafrance, a three-star FAU commit, had a pair of interceptions as the Bucks held Taravella to only eight points.

RJ DOURIET | PALM BEACH CENTRAL

The junior quarterback was 11 for 16 for 222 yards and 5 TDs in the first half of a rain-shortened 42-0 victory over Boca Raton. THADDIUS FRANKLIN | CHAMINADE-MADONNA Franklin helped the Lions recover from a loss to American Heritage-Plantation by rushing for 136 yards and three touchdowns in Chaminade-Madonna’s 42-6 win over Piper.

JEREMIAH MCCLENDON | ATLANTIC

The sophomore strong safety returned two interceptions for scores, for 53 and 55 yards, as Atlantic cruised to a 55-0 win over Spanish River.

CEDQUAN SMITH | MIRAMAR

The sophomore quarterback led the Patriots to their second win of the year with a three-touchdown performance in a victory over Cypress Bay. Smith finished the first half with 296 passing yards before leaving the game in a rout.

JASTEVEN JORDAN | PAHOKEE

The senior wide receiver had five catches for 125 yards and two TDs and added a 60-yard punt return for another score in a 47-23 victory over Boynton Beach.

HAMMERSHAM WHITE | PLANTATION

White scored three rushing touchdowns as the Colonels routed Flanagan 55-0.

GIO RICHARDSON | DWYER

The senior QB and FAU commit threw for more than 100 yards in limited work, including an 89-yard scoring toss to Connor Nagle in the Panthers’ 62-0 mauling of Olympic Heights.

KARAUN ST. LOUIS | PIPER

St. Louis caught Piper’s only touchdown against ChaminadeMadonna and finished the game with six catches for 97 yards.

ZACH BOHANNON | AMERICAN HERITAGE-DELRAY

The junior quarterback was 8 for 14 for 248 yards and four scores in the Stallions’ 34-30 victory over Pensacola Catholic on the road.

The sophomore running back ran for more than 150 yards and three scores as the Gators’ 32-20 win over visiting Jupiter.

Tolbert, a sophomore, threw two touchdown passes and ran in another in a losing effort against Miramar.

DREW LUCHEY | KING’S ACADEMY

The senior had two receptions for 77 yards and one TD and added a 97-yard kickoff return for another score in the Lions’ 49-21 win over Calvary Christian Academy.

The senior quarterback accounted for 136 yards and three scores in the Rams’ 55-13 win over Royal Palm Beach.
