The Democratic-affiliated Senate Majority PAC released another ad Tuesday hitting Gov. Rick Scott on his education record.

The ad, “Cuts,” is similar to a Spanish language ad, “Dime Con Quién,” that SMP had released last week. The group has spent almost $7 million on the race supporting U.S. Sen Bill Nelson or attacking Scott.

“Cuts” criticizes Scott for school spending across Florida being down $1.35 billion for the 2011-12 school year, Scott’s first full fiscal year as governor.

“He promised us zero cuts out of general revenue for education,” the ad says. “But it wasn’t true.”

The ad concludes by calling Scott “another shady millionaire who doesn’t look out for you.”

The Scott campaign has suspended campaign events while he deals with the impact of Hurricane Michael to the Panhandle.

While Scott and affiliated PACs have run several attack ads hitting Nelson for issues ranging from Senate attendance to his age, Scott’s latest ad from before the storm criticized Nelson for running attack ads on him.

“With all these attack ads, all Bill Nelson wants to do is throw mud,” Scott said in the ad, “Future,” released Thursday. “Bill Nelson slings mud to make this race about me. It’s not. This race is about your kids, your family, your future.”

The election will be held Nov. 6.
