Spooky good deals for kids’ meals
Halloween usually is all about candy for trick-or treaters, but several restaurants in South Florida are giving out free and cheap meals to little ones as well.
Too Jay’s
Too Jay’s Deli, Bakery and Restaurant, with locations around Florida, has a 10-day promotion, Friday through Nov. 4: Kids 12 and younger eat free from the kids menu with the purchase of an adult entree.
Too Jay’s kids’ menu features French toast and Belgian waffles for breakfast, and hamburgers, mac and cheese, chicken strips, grilled cheese and deli dogs – plus a Too Jay’s mini black and& white cookie – for lunch and dinner. The special does not include a drink and cannot be combined with any other offers. TooJays.com
IHOP
IHOP has Scary Face Pancakes all month long, but on Oct. 31, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., the Scary Face Pancakes are free for kids 12 and younger at participating locations. Kids get one pancake with a whipped topping mouth and strawberry nose, plus mini Oreo cookies and candy corn for decoration.
Applebee’s
Families in costume can get up to two free kids’ meals at Applebee’s with each adult entrée purchase on Halloween. Ages 12 and under in costume can choose an entree, drink and side from the kids’ menu, which includes chicken quesadillas, chicken fettuccine alfredo, chicken tacos and more. Applebee’s also offers Halloween cocktail specials for adults, such as a $1 Zombie, $5 Dracula’s Juice and $5 Boo Lagoon.
Red Robin
Red Robin offers $1.99 kids meals on Wednesdays, so the deal will be available at participating locations on Oct. 31. Kids can choose a meal from the kids menu with the purchase of an adult entree.
Burger King
Burger King is also getting in on the scary food action with a new Nightmare King sandwich and Black Cherry Fanta drinks.
