You can wear designer clothes. You can drive a luxury car. Can you live in a designer luxury condo?

The Residences By Armani/Casa Sunny Isles is a 56-story, 308-unit condo under construction named after the renowned Italian designer who is a fashion brand.

While all the units are expected to be spectacular — prices start at $2 million — only 10 of the homes will have a Giorgio Armani “certified” design, with features such as extra drywall to allow a TV set to be recessed within the walls, which is “continuous with the Armani design globally,” said Manny Angelo Varas, the project’s design partner and CEO of MV Group USA.

Other features include Buzzi & Buzzi Italian lights, silk wallpaper throughout the home, dropped ceilings, a Molteni-brand kitchen, and stone floors hand-selected from Italian quarries.

“Every detail has been thought of,” Varas said. “It will be a harmonious blend of colors, textures and fabrics.”

The cost to be part of these 10 “limited-edition” units? An extra $1 million.

There are also two penthouse units, at more than 5,000 square feet each. Penthouse buyers will get an extra special touch: an all-expense paid, weeklong trip to Milan to meet with the design team to customize their home, “similar to the European delivery of an exotic car,” Varas said.

More than likely, that will include a meeting with Armani, too, who lives in Milan, he said.

Cost for the penthouses: $15 million — fully furnished and designed.

Cesar Pelli — best known for designing famous buildings, such as the World Financial Center in New York City and the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — is the project’s architect. Construction began in 2016 on a spot that included empty land and a small hotel that was demolished. Officials said it should be ready by June.

Amenities at the Sunny Isles Beach tower, at 18975 Collins Ave., include a restaurant, cigar room and wine cellar, heated swimming pool, oceanview fitness center, two-story spa with indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, movie theater and clubroom. The property also features a 3-acre garden sanctuary and sculptures.

Varas said this is the only Armani-inspired condo tower in the United States. He said Sunny Isles Beach was chosen because of its oceanfront.

It’s won’t just provide a home, he said, but a lifestyle. “It’s a very special project.”
