RAISING FOR THE RESCUES
Amy Roman, founder of 100 Plus Abandoned Dogs of Everglades, comforts Angel, a pregnant Shepard mix rescue, as volunteer Tammy Robinson and staffer Tiffany Nesbit look on. Roman’s nonprofit has rescued nearly 4,000 animals since 2011 and is now operating a rescue home in Fort Lauderdale where dogs are housed, rehabilitated and put up for adoption. Raising for the Rescues, a fundraiser for the organization, will take place Saturday at Revolution Live’s VIP Lounge in Fort Lauderdale.
