★★ ½ Creed II — Boxing champ Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) agrees to fight Viktor Drago, the son of Ivan Drago, who killed Creed’s father, Apollo. Sylvester Stallone returns as Adonis’ coach. 130 min. (PG-13) for sports action violence, language, and a scene of sensuality. — Michael Phillips, Chicago Tribune ★★★ The Frontrunne­r — Hugh Jackman stars as Sen. Gary Hart during his campaign for president in the late ’80s. Also starring Vera Farmiga and J.K. Simmons. 113 min. (R) for language including some sexual references. — Ann Hornaday, Washington Post

★★ ½ Green Book — An African-American classical pianist (Oscar winner Mahershala Ali) must hire a driver (Viggo Mortensen) to accompany him on a tour through the 1960s American South. 130 min. ★★★ Ralph Breaks The Internet — In this animated sequel, Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) discover they can enter the world outside the arcade. 112 min. (PG) for some action and rude humor. — Michael Phillips, Chicago Tribune

★★ ½ Robin Hood — Taron Egerton of the “Kingsman” movie franchise plays the thief who shares his loot with the poor, but Jamie Foxx could steal the show. Ben Mendelsohn is the evil sheriff of Nottingham, of course. 116 min. (PG-13) for extended sequences of violence and action, and some suggestive references.
