Food Tours in Miami

- By Rod Stafford Hagwood SouthFlorida.com

Culinary and food tours are a growing category in the tourism industry, and South Florida companies have taken notice, offering walking and bus experiences where guests make several restaurant stops in a neighborhood known for its dining options.

“I will tell you that food tourism is currently the top trend in travel, and we get guests hooked on food tours every day,” says Kristl Story of West Palm Beach Food Tour.

But it’s not solely out-oftowners who are booking these tours.

“We cater almost exclusively to private groups versus public tours,” Denise Righetti of Savor Our City culinary tours explains in an email. “Local companies book us for team building and client-employee appreciation events; social groups book us to celebrate milestone occasions like birthdays, bachelorette parties, social and religious group outings. In addition, we work with companies coming into South Florida for conventions.”

Here is an insider’s guide to the food tours in South Florida cities from Miami to West Palm Beach.
