South Florida holiday schedule for Thanksgiving

Here’s what will be open and closed in Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties today as part of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

South Florida

Stock Markets: Nov.

23: close early: NYSE, 1 p.m.; Nasdaq, 1 p.m.; Bond Markets, 2 p.m..

Broward County

Government/Schools

Public schools, colleges and universities closed.

The 17th Judicial and Circuit and County Courts and the Administrative Office of the Courts will be closed.

Services

Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Center will be closed. In the event of animal attack or bite, call 911. For lost or found cats or dogs, call 954-359-1313, ext. 9273.

The Broward County Landfill at 7101 SW 205th Ave., Fort Lauderdale, will be closed.

Florida Department of Health in Broward County will be closed.

Regularly scheduled garbage, bulk or recycling collections resume. Residents of all other Broward municipalities contact their city or hauler for scheduling information.

Entertainment

The county library system will be closed.

Broward County regional and neighborhood parks, and natural areas will be open with the exception of Deerfield Island Park, which will be closed per normal operating schedule.

Palm Beach County

Government/Schools

Public schools, colleges and universities will be closed.

Courts: 15th Judicial Court will be closed.
