Pitbull’s iLov305 set to open soon

The Miami Beach restaurant will debut just before Christmas.

Pitbull’s new restaurant iLov305 finally has an opening date — sort of.

The Miami Beach restaurant will debut “at the end of December just before Christmas,” according to a publicist for the restaurant.

The restaurant’s exact opening date isn’t yet set — but there is a firm date for a grand opening party: Jan. 15.

That day coincides with Pitbull’s 38th birthday. The Cuban-American rapper is scheduled to attend the grand opening.

The much-buzzed about Latin steakhouse and bar at 1060 Ocean Dr. had been slated to open in October and then again this month, but construction delays have pushed the opening. The two-level restaurant will be in the site of the former Bel-Air Hotel in South Beach.

The restaurant will have 6,200 square feet of bars and lounges and serve cocktails called “La Diabla” and the “305 Grenade,” and Pitbull’s Voli vodka brand. A tagline for the restaurant reads “where what happens, never happened.”

The restaurant follows his first iLov305 restaurant at the Biloxi Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Mississippi. If you’re looking for a job, the South Beach restaurant has positions to fill for servers, bartenders and hosts.

The name of the restaurant is a nod to his Miami roots. The rapper, whose real name is Armando Christian Perez, grew up in Miami and graduated from Miami Coral Park Senior High.
