SOUTH FLORIDA SCHEDULE FOR CHRISTMAS DAY

Here’s what will be open and closed in Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties on Tuesday Dec. 25. Additionally, some agencies, governmental offices and services will be closed or operate limited hours Dec. 24.

South Florida

Federal offices and banks will be closed Dec. 25.

Post offices closed and no regular mail delivery Dec. 25.

Stock Markets: Dec. 25:

NYSE, Nasdaq, Bond Markets are closed.

Broward County

Government/Schools

County governmental offices will be closed Dec. 25.

Public schools, colleges and universities will be closed Dec. 25.

The Circuit and County Courts and the Administrative Office of the Courts will be closed and Dec. 25.

Services

The Florida Department Health in Broward County administrative offices, WIC offices and health centers, will be closed Dec. 25.

Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Center will be closed. In the event of animal attack or bite, call 911. For lost or found cats or dogs, call 954-359-1313, ext. 9273.

The Broward County Landfill at 7101 SW 205th Ave., Fort Lauderdale, will be closed.

There will be garbage pickup.

Entertainment

The county library system will be closed Dec. 25.

Broward County regional and neighborhood parks, nature centers and natural areas will be open Dec. 24 except for Everglades Holiday Park, which is open year round. Special attractions such as AllGolf at C.B. Smith Park, Butterfly World at Tradewinds Park South, and Ski Rixen USA at Quiet Waters Park will also be open on Dec. 24; call the attraction for hours. All parks and attractions will be closed Dec. 25, except for Everglades Holiday Park and Ski Rixen USA at Quiet Waters.

Transportation

Miami-Dade County

Government/Schools

Public schools, colleges and universities will be closed and Dec. 25

Courts: Eleventh Judicial Circuit will be closed Dec. 25

Services

There will be no regular collection Dec. 25

Entertainment

The county library system will be closed Dec. 25

Miami-Dade regional and neighborhood parks, and natural areas will be open.

Transportation

If collection day falls on the holiday, unincorporated Palm Beach County residents will receive service on the next scheduled collection day.
