we start inching closer to the new year, a majority of the holiday light displays will be wrapping up this weekend. These are a mustsee for the family and let you hang on to the holidays just a little bit longer.

Our picks for the top family events this weekend include the following:

Circus Dreams Holidaze, Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Set in a wonderland of season’s dreamings and holiday pageantry, audiences will celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with never before seen performanc­es, over 300 costumes, 20 of the world’s best acts, singers, original music and seasonal favorites. $33 – 97. Play-Doh Lab, Friday, 1-3 p.m.

Family Hayrides and Campfires, Saturday, 6:30-9 p.m.

Umoja: A Kwanzaa Family Celebratio­n, Wednesday, 5-7:30 p.m.

Explore the history, principles, and symbols of Kwanzaa by attending the Kwanzaa Ceremony and candle-lighting ritual of the Kinara. You will learn the seven core principles of Kwanzaa, get energized with an exciting drum and dance workshop, make crafts, and as if that isn’t enough, there will be a Karamu (feast). Free.
