CORAL GABLES — Hurricanes coach Manny Diaz has reportedly rounded out his coaching staff and one of his latest additions will be a coach with deep ties to some of South Florida’s most potent high school football programs.

According to multiple reports, Louisville director of recruiting Stephen Field is expected to be named Miami’s new tights ends coach, while 247Sports.com reported Air Force receivers coach Taylor Stubblefield is expected to take the same position with the Hurricanes.

Miami has not announced either hire and would not comment on the reports that surfaced Thursday afternoon.

Field, who accepted his new position at Louisville earlier this month, spent last season at Oregon, where he helped the Ducks land a top-five recruiting class. Before that, he worked at Louisville as the Cardinals’ director of high school relations in 2017 and was the tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator at FAMU in 2016.

Field also served as a defensive assistant for the Hurricanes from 2006-08.

A graduate of Palm Beach Lakes, has extensive experience as a high school coach in Florida, serving as the head coach of Miami Northwestern and an assistant coach at Glades Central, Deerfield Beach and Miami Central. He also coached at North Marion High near Ocala.

Stubblefield, a former All-American at Purdue, has spent two seasons coaching at Air Force and before that, spent a season coaching receivers in the CFL with the Toronto Argonauts.

He has also coached at Central Michigan in 2011 where he worked with new Hurricanes offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Dan Enos.
