Money spent unwisely
I’m outraged at the city of Ft. Lauderdale’s decision to gift $500,000 to the NSU Art Museum of Ft. Lauderdale.
This $500,000 could have been better spent in eliminating the need for handicapped people to pay parking fees in city-owned garages and lots, and also repairing the drainage in areas where massive flooding occurs after heavy rainfalls causing damage to homes and vehicles.
It is apparent the city does not take into consideration the needs of all its residents and has the audacity to ask voters to approve two bond issues which will increase their taxes, but found $500,000 to gift the museum.
This is an issue that should be questioned and deserves an explanation.
