The Zac Brown Band will bring the 30-city Owl Tour to Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach for two weekend concerts, Oct. 18-19.

Tickets will go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at ZacBrownBand.com, where tickets are on sale now for members of the Zamily fan club.

The tour announcement comes as the Zac Brown Band prepares to release a new studio album, which they’ve teased with the glossy pop single “Someone I Used to Know,” another daring departure for ZBB and a challenge for fans of “Chicken Fried” and “Knee Deep.”

The album and tour are said to draw inspiration from the “mythology and mystery” surrounding the Great Horned Owl. Brown told Billboard recently, “They’re just like a magical thing, symbolizing wisdom and foreshadowing. But I have kind of a kinship to them. I don’t know what it is, I’m just really drawn to them. I’ve got three owls tattooed on me, actually.”

ZBB has a couple more months to go on its spring Down the Rabbit Hole Tour, but Brown said those shows provide no hint for what fans will see on the summer-fall Owl Tour, kicking off May 25 with an Indy 500-eve concert in Indianapolis.

“It’s a totally different show. The presentation, the songs, the whole approach, everything. You’re going to get two completely different shows. You won’t feel like you saw the same thing,” he said.

Both West Palm Beach concerts will feature an opening performance by fastrising country band Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real. Nelson, son of Willie, was a musical consultant on actor-filmmaker Bradley Cooper’s gritty country take on “A Star is Born,” and Promise of the Real served as Cooper’s backing band in the film.
