This build-your-ownbowl mini chain, founded on Florida’s west coast in 2014, has opened its second South Florida location, joining its Boca Raton sibling.
“Davie is family-oriented, and people seem to live active and healthy lifestyles,” president Steven Lanza says. “There doesn’t seem to be a lot of restaurants that cater to this demographic. We can’t wait to show Davie that great-tasting, healthy food can also be convenient. All of our meats are hormoneand antibiotic-free, and our menu is 100 percent glutenfree. We receive fresh produce almost every day, and all of our items are made from scratch.”
An assembly line for bowls ($8.29 or $9.99; $6.99 for children) starts with bases, such as kale slaw or sweet potato noodles, and ends with sauces, such as coconut sriracha and cucumber jalapeno.
“Our menu changes about six times a year. We usually rotate one of our proteins and veggies depending on season,” Lanza says.
Odds and ends include zucchini brownies ($3.50), craft sodas and housemade juice frescas ($2.59).
“We are bringing a whole new look to Davie,” Lanza says. “We are switching up our typical mural wall with an art installation that will include some live plant elements. We’re also switching up the exterior colors. Everything, down to the bathrooms, is going to be newly imagined, and of course Instagram-worthy.”
The brand’s signature rose pattern is still there, though, on the ceiling and exterior. Pink shelves display pink flowerpots.
Lunch and dinner are served daily.
