Marshalls set to open March 7 in new Boynton Beach location
Some discount shoppers are likely wondering: Where did Marshalls go in Boynton Beach?
No worries — the store just moved south, to the Boynton Commons shopping plaza, 363 North Congress Ave.
The new 22,000 square-foot store is scheduled to open Thursday, according to Katie Babb, spokeswoman for the Framingham, Mass.-based T.J. Maxx, which owns Marshalls.
Marshalls was previously at 1729 N. Congress Ave., in Boynton Beach.
Jon Cashion, who represents Katz & Associates in leasing Boynton Commons, said Marshalls saw the plaza as offering higher visibility than its former site to the north. The site also is closer to other major retailers.
The new Marshalls is next to a new Ulta Beauty store in the plaza, and across the street are Bed, Bath & Beyond and Old Navy stores.
Marshalls and Ulta leased the space formerly occupied by Sports Authority,
the chain that filed for bankruptcy and ultimately closed in 2016.
Tim Miner, president of Marshalls, said the new Boynton Beach store will offer “an ever-changing selection” of brand merchandise. The store also will feature “The Cube,” an in-store boutique of contemporary fashions, according to a news release.
On Thursday, the store is opening at 8 a.m., but regular hours will be: 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
Marshalls has more than 1,000 stores currently operating in 47 states, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico.
