Rapper Rick Ross seen shooting his new music video in Miami
South Florida hip hop mogul Rick Ross has been seen around Miami shooting his latest music video.
On social media, the rapper has been sharing photos of the shoot for his “Big Tyme” video which stars Jordyn Woods (the former best friend of Kylie Jenner.)
The photos show Ross and Woods on a boat by PortMiami and on city streets with Woods, 21, sporting a black dress, sparkly bikini and lingerie. His new album, which drops Aug. 9, is also called “Port Miami 2,” a nod to his 2006 break out album, “Port Miami.”
In a video teaser on Instagram for the new album, Ross is lying down in water with his arms across his chest.
“When I realized I was really alive, I sat in a room alone, no television, no music. I just listened to my heart beat,” he said, as the sound of a heartbeat reverberated.
In the following scene, Ross sported a red outfit and a necklace with a cross. He folded his hands as in if prayer.
“Are you just standing there or does your heart beat? Was you meant to die? Did you want to live or were you born to kill?…Listen to my heart beat.”
Ross, whose real name is William Roberts, was in the news in March of 2018 when a friend called 911 from the rapper’s Davie residence to report a medical emergency. Ross, who has been known to have seizures, was hospitalized that weekend and then released.
Three months before the incident, Ross’s manager Black Bo died at the house from atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, a build up of fats and cholesterol on the heart’s artery walls.
Ross, who is the founder of Maybach Music Group and has been credited as one of the pioneers of the Miami rap sound.
