Photographers’ works on display
This month, dozens of photographers from South Florida will have their works displayed at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre’s 23rd annual Members’ Show, Fatima NeJame, the center’s president and CEO, said in an announcement.
The juried exhibition will showcase the work of its members from Aug. 24 to Oct. 26 at the center, 415 Clematis St., West Palm Beach, FL 33401. Hours are Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m to 6 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on Sundays.
Among the dozens of members that will be represented in the exhibition are eight from Palm Beach Jacqueline Asplundh, Sergio De Araujo, Beth Karson, Sandi Pfeifer, Thais Racy, Anita Seltzer, Leslie Slatkin, Ivy Yin along with several from West Palm Beach: Mongkol Boo nwongG lap in ski, Lara Chapman, Cynthia Conley, Stuart Patt, as well as three from Palm Beach Gardens: Philip Dresden, Alan Green and Marilyn Samwick.
Photographers from Boca Raton, Bonita Springs, Coral Springs, Hobe Sound, Pompano Beach, Wellington and New York also are participating in the exhibit.
The juror is Lewis Kemper, a contributing editor to Outdoor Photographer, writer and instructor who lectures throughout the United States.
A Best of Show cash prize of $950 will be awarded along with two merit awards for free tuition for a FOTOfusion Passport or a master workshop.
Also on display at the Photo Centre will be The FOTOcamp Exhibition, showcasing works by photographers ages 10 to 17 who participated in this summer’s FOTOcamp for children.
