■ Mets: Michael Conforto homered twice, Pete Alonso and Jeff McNeil hit two-run shots and the surging Mets beat the Marlins 7-2 to complete a four-game sweep. The host Mets posted their sixth straight victory, winning for the 13th time in 14 games. The Mets have swept the lastplace Marlins three times this season. Steven Matz (7-7) allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks over 62⁄3 innings, striking out seven. He’s 5-0 with an 2.14 ERA in 10 starts at home this year. The Mets (59-56) own an MLB-best 19-6 record since the AllStar break.

■ Braves, Twins: Ozzie Albies homered twice in his second straight four-hit game, Ronald Acuna Jr. and Freddie Freeman both went deep, and the visiting Braves powered their way past the Twins 11-7. Max Fried (13-4) used a seasonhigh 10 strikeouts to win his fourth consecutiv­e start. The Twins turned a triple play in the third. It was their second triple play in less than three weeks . ... Braves rookie OF Austin Riley was placed on the IL after suffering a knee ligament injury while working out in the weight room Tuesday. Riley is hitting .242 with 17 HRs and 45 RBIs in 66 games.

■ Cubs: Ian Happ hit his second career grand slam, Jose Quintana tossed twohit ball through seven innings to win his sixth straight decision and the host Cubs beat the A’s 10-1. Kyle Schwarber hit a threerun HR, Victor Caratini also connected and Javier Baez kept up his hot streak with two hits and two RBIs as the NL Central leaders won for the fifth time in six games. Quintana (10-7) allowed one run, struck out seven and walked one.

■ Dodgers: Russell Martin drove a two-run, twoout single up the middle in the ninth inning to complete a three-game sweep of the visiting Cardinals with a 2-1 victory. It was the Dodgers’ fifth straight victory and 10th walk-off win of the season. The Cards went 0-5 on their California road trip.

■ Nationals: Gerardo Parra hit a three-run HR against his former team, Joe Ross pitched six shutout innings of three-hit ball and the Nationals completed a three-game sweep of the Giants with a 4-1 road win. Ross (2-3) struck out five and walked two in his third start of the season. The Giants have lost four straight.

■ Extra innings: Brewers slugger Christian Yelich sat out a second straight game against the Pirates and is day to day after aggravatin­g his nagging back injury. The reigning NL MVP said he felt something in his back during Monday’s game, when he hit his MLB-leading 38th and 39th HRs . ... Jose Ramirez homered again and the Indians bullpen combined on a four-hitter to cap a sweep of a doublehead­er against the visiting Rangers with a 5-1 win. Ramirez’s two-run HR lifted the Indians to a 2-0 victory in the opener . ... The Diamondbac­ks designated three AllStar reliever Greg Holland for assignment. Holland, who had an NL-best 41 saves in 2017, was 1-2 with a 4.54 ERA and 17 saves in 22 chances this season. He lost his job as closer after a blown save July 26.
