What will be closed in South Florida for Labor Day
In observance of Labor Day on Monday, here’s what will be closed in Broward, Palm Beach and MiamiDade counties. Because of the pending tropical weather system, additional closures or changes may occur.
South Florida
Most banks will be closed. Post offices will be closed; there will be no regular mail delivery.
Markets: NYSE, Nasdaq and Bond Markets will be closed.
Federal, and most state, county court, governmental and municipal offices will be closed.

Broward
Governmental, courts, services
County governmental offices will be closed.
Public schools, and most colleges and universities will be closed.
The Circuit and County Courts and the Administrative Office of the Courts will be closed.
Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Center will be closed. In the event of animal attack or bite, call 911. For lost or found cats or dogs, call 954-359-1313, ext. 9273.
The Broward County Landfill at 7101 SW 205th Ave., Fort Lauderdale, will be closed.
There is pick up of garbage, bulk and recycling, as regularly scheduled.
All offices and programs at the Florida Department of Health will be closed.
Entertainment
The county library facilities will be closed.
Broward County regional and neighborhood parks, nature centers and natural areas will be open with the exception of Deerfield Island Park, which will be closed per normal operating schedule. Transportation

County and municipal offices will be closed.
Public schools, and most colleges and universities will be closed.

The county library facilities will be closed.
County parks administrative offices will be closed. Park hours: sunrise to sunset unless otherwise noted. Lighted court facilities open until 9 p.m.
Transportation
Palm Tran: no Bus service, administrative offices closed.
Miami-Dade
Government/Schools
Public schools, and most colleges and universities will be closed
Courts: Eleventh Judicial Circuit will be closed.
Services
There will be no regularly scheduled garbage pickup. Schedules in each city may vary.
Entertainment
The county library facilities will be closed.
Miami-Dade regional and neighborhood Park Administrative offices will be closed.
Transportation
