• Palm Beach: bridges to the barrier islands will go into lock down Sunday Sept. 1 at 8 p.m. Spans will not open for any boat traffic after that time.
• West Palm Beach: City garages will close at 6 p.m. Sept. 1 until further notice, for parking which is free for those people who are bringing their vehicles to garages for protection from the storm. Once an ‘all-clear’ is announce, people will have 48-hours to remove their vehicles before a fee assessment of $10 per day kicks in. • Palm Tran will transport homeless individuals from the John Prince Park, Phil Foster Park, Jim Berry Park and Curry Park at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday Sept. 1. • Food Not Bombs Lake Worth is organizing an emergency food drive for local communities immediately after Hurricane Dorian has passed. Donations of nonperishables and food (especially that are intended to be thrown away from fridges) can be dropped off at the Guatemalan Maya Center, 430 N. G St, Lake Worth, on Sunday. Requests for food or water can be made by calling 650-762-8442.
