HOLLYWOOD — A Dania Beach man has been arrested and accused of stalking random women while they were jogging.

James Ducker, 32, was taken into custody in Hollywood about 7 p.m. Wednesday for prowling and loitering. He was later charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and exposing his sex organs in public, records show.

During questioning, police said Ducker admitted to following women joggers and offering to give them a ride in his Chevrolet Malibu so he could expose himself in front of them.

According to the arrest report, a woman was jogging in the 1400 block of Polk Street about 2:30 p.m. May 19. The Malibu was parked on the swale and Ducker said, “Hey, it is raining. Would you like a ride?” The woman refused the offer and continued jogging.

Ducker followed her, parked his car, got out, and ran after her. She was able to run away and call police.

The Malibu was linked to other reports of suspicious incidents in Hollywood. The suspect would drive behind women for several blocks constantly maneuvering his vehicle to block or stop them, according to police.

Detectives from the Special Victim’s Unit were able to link Ducker to two more incidents where he followed women to lure them into his car.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have been approached by Ducker, or who has any information about other incidents to contact the Hollywood Police Department at 954-764-4357 or 954-967-4411. Tipsters can also e-mail hollywoodpdtips@hollywoodfl.org.
