Israeli, Florida hospitals partnering for webinar

- By Sergio Carmona

Sheba Medical Center at Tel HaShomer, Israel is partnering with two Florida hospitals, Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach and Tampa General Hospital, to present a webinar focused on the latest coronavirus developments.

During “Medical Insiders’ Insight into COVID-19,” which takes place at 6 p.m on June 24, doctors from these hospitals will share what they have learned from their experiences with the virus.

“We are hosting this webinar because we believe that it will serve as a beneficial resource to Floridians in need of the latest medical news that matters most to them,” said Alan Frent, director for American Friends of Sheba Medical Center’s Florida Region based in Aventura. “We hope this event sparks an even greater partnership between Florida and Sheba.”

Collaborations between Sheba and Mount Sinai have already taken place, as a memorandum of understanding was signed between the two hospitals last year.

The webinar will begin with introductory remarks from Prof. Yitshak Kreiss, Sheba’s director general. Sammi Siegel, a mental health professional, will then moderate the discussion featuring Drs. Robert Goldszer of Mount Sinai, Debbie Rinde-Hoffman of Tampa General Hospital and Yuval Levy of Sheba. Each doctor will focus on a selected topic.

Advanced registration is required for this Zoom discussion. Questions may be submitted in advance for the experts to address. Contact Frent at 305-469-2505 or alan@shebamedical.org for more information.
