A pox on everybody’s house
Republicans, as an institution you are concrete-block dense; dumber than dirt. You have no vision and are bereft of perspective. For years, you did everything possible to subvert the Affordable Care Act, braying all along that you “had a better plan.” Then, when you achieved power in 2016, you snatched defeat from the jaws of victory by completely ignoring all the hard work on universal healthcare already accomplished through passage of the ACA. With little effort, you could have fixed the inefficiencies, thus making it more effective and far reaching and made yourselves heroes in the process. Success with healthcare would have assured your retention of the House in 2018. You were idiots.
Democrats, as an institution you are inept and corrupt to the core. The major cities where we see so much turmoil and heartache for inner-city minorities are all governed and managed by Democrats and have been for decades. Principle among the malfeasance is pandering to union leadership: police, education, public sector. This ironic symbiosis assures you votes and benefits the leadership with little value moving to the people being served. A salient and egregious example is that of Norman Seabrook, the past president of the correction officers union in New York. For two decades, Seabrook shielded the Rikers Island guards as they made the lives of inmates a living hell. In turn, Seabrook was protected from removal or prosecution by New York City’s Democratic leadership.
So now we, the voting public, find ourselves with a choice between two horrible candidates: an immoral authoritarian who has probably never read the Constitution let alone made an attempt to understand it, and a doddering old white guy whose success has hinged on his ability to smile big, glad hand, back slap and tell jokes. Vice President Biden will probably be elected, in which case he will be a puppet, manipulated by Pelosi and Schumer who in turn will be driven by the most vocal and extreme, but not reasonable, elements of their caucus. Both parties have really done us a disservice!
