Before Inter Miami CF restarts its inaugural Major League Soccer season against Orlando City SC on July 8, fans will have the opportunity to get an inside look into the club’s preparation for the season.

The team is premiering its docuseries “Inside Inter Miami” on Wednesday. The series will use newly released footage to showcase the months leading up to its MLS debut against Los Angeles FC on March 1 and the ensuing weeks, including the league’s suspension of play March 12 — two days before Inter Miami’s scheduled home debut against the LA Galaxy at Inter Miami CF Stadium.

The construction of the team’s roster, stadium and facilities are among aspects of that will also be highlighted in the docuseries.

“[The docuseries] shows the club since its beginnings, from its roots, and that’s something that will last forever, something we’ll remember endlessly,” coach Diego Alonso said in a statement. “Having a documentary of this magnitude for the club and its fans is invaluable.”

Early access viewing for the docuseries will air live at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday on Inter Miami’s official app before being available on the club’s Facebook and

YouTube channels Thursday.

“It does an amazing job of summing up the early parts of this Inter Miami CF project: where we started back in December, the growth of the group throughout preseason and into the first two games, and on top of that stepping into this trial of quarantine through COVID-19 and how we’re adjusting and finding our feet through that as well,” midfielder Wil Trapp said.

“It’s an amazing insight into the club, into the locker room, seeing the players, the passion and overall idea that makes up this club and where we are now and where we want to be.”

Inter Miami will travel to Orlando by bus Wednesday to prepare for the MLS is Back Tournament, which it’ll kick off against Orlando City at 8 p.m. next Wednesday at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando.

Inter Miami is in Group A of the tournament along with Orlando City, the Chicago Fire, New York City FC, the Philadelphia Union and Nashville SC.

It’ll also face the Fire (9 a.m. on July 14) and Union (10:30 p.m on July 19) as part of its three group-stage matches that will count toward the regular-season standings before the tournament’s 16-team knockout stage starts July 25.

Before leaving for Orlando, Inter Miami personnel is required to complete two COVID-19 tests 24 hours apart and within approximately 72 hours of travel. Along with the rest of the MLS personnel, those people associated with Inter Miami will be sequestered at the Swan and Dolphin Hotel and immediately take another coronavirus test upon arrival and then will be quarantined until they receive their test results.

Anyone who tests positive for the virus while in Orlando will be examined by a doctor and isolated in the hotel until they’re medically cleared. Teams started traveling to Orlando on June 24, with the San Jose Earthquakes being the first time to arrive in the “bubble” environment.

MLS announced Sunday that of the 329 people who had been tested on-site so far, two tested positive for the virus. Both of them were players who had just arrived. Six teams had arrived in Orlando as of Monday while the rest of the will make their way to Central Florida this week.

Inter Miami players have been tested every other day since starting full-team training nearly three weeks ago. As of Sunday, 18 of 668 tested MLS players received positive COVID-19 tests prior to traveling for the tournament.

One unidentified Inter Miami player has tested positive for COVID-19, which the club announced June 19.
