Keep schools closed

-

With COVID running rampant, it is unconscionable that some people are complaining about schools teaching virtually. I am a retired teacher who never had to face this horrendous issue, but I know how hard our Palm Beach County teachers worked to step up to the plate in March and switch to virtual education. I have three grandchildren who are in the public school system and do not want them exposed to the virus — I want them alive. I am certain if schools opened, there would be a spike in COVID among children and school personnel. I see nothing wrong with children being taught virtually. To those who scream children will fall behind, I’d say that it is doubtful and even if it were true, children could always catch up when schools are safe to reopen. They can’t catch up if they are dead. Thank you teachers and school personnel, for all your hard work!
