Tickets go on sale for III Points fest

- By Ben Crandell

The annual III Points music and arts festival, twice postponed by COVID-19 this year, is now scheduled to return to Miami April 30-May 1, with tickets on sale Wednesday.

General-admission tickets will cost $149, with VIP $299 at IIIPoints.com. Ticketing options include a layaway plan, with a $10 down payment.

Most of the top of the 2020 III Points bill remains intact, led by the Strokes and Wu-Tang Clan. New to the lineup in 2021 are Eric Prydz and fast-rising trio Khruangbin.

Organizers say that capacity is likely to be more limited than in previous years and that other safety precautions will be tailored to the reality of 2021 and the pandemic. They are otherwise trying to be optimistic.

“We hope that everyone continues to stay safe and keeps the faith

that soon we will dance together under the disco ball,” a statement said.

The III Points festival, which takes place on six stages at Mana Wynwood, was originally scheduled for May 1-2, then rescheduled to Oct. 16-17. Refunds for the original dates will be available beginning Friday, Sept. 25, at IIIPoints.com.

The 2021 lineup includes holes where some popular acts were listed on the two iterations of the 2020 bill, including Disclosure, Robyn and Rüfus Du Sol. III Points organizers say six more acts will be named to the lineup after Coachella’s bill is final.

Among a long list of local performers scheduled for III Points 2021 are Donzii, Las Nubes, Butterfly Snapple, Jaialai, Holly Hunt, Nick León, Poorgrrrl, Tama Gucci, Haute Tension, Dude Skywalker, Thunderpony and others.
